The Budget Bytes App is Here!
Okay guys, it’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! The Budget Bytes app is NOW AVAILABLE for iOS in the Apple store!! I’m so completely excited that I don’t think I can contain myself! Luckily, I made a short video a couple of days ago to walk to you through some of the main features and give you a sneak peek at what the app has to offer. …because right now I’m just too excited to talk. All I can do is wiggle with excitement and glee. 🤣
**UPDATE** We officially have the green light on producing an Android version of the app, and it will be available soon! Stay tuned for updates!
So, without further ado, here is your first look at the Budget Bytes app!!
There it is! After months of hard work from the awesome team at Sidechef and myself, I’m so happy to finally bring the Budget Bytes content to you in app form. But of course, this is just the beginning. Expect new features, recipe collections, and more in the future. If you have questions about the app or want to offer your feedback, please email us at budgetbytesapp@sidechef.com. And just as a reminder, the app is for iOS only at this time (hopefully Android soon!) and it currently contains 100 of the most popular recipes on Budget Bytes.

I can’t wait to hear what you think!!
So the recipes on the app are slightly different than those online, yes? For instance, I purchased the app and was looking for the Cajun Sausage and Rice Skillet recipe on the app (which I had originally found online), and it wasn’t there. I guess I can save it to favorites online, but it would be nice to be able to save the same Favorites in both places.
The app comes pre-loaded with 500 recipes and that’s what you can search with the search feature on the main page. Everything I’ve published to the website since the app was launched is available for download from the app’s marketplace (you can still get them for free). To browse these recipes, tap the little shopping bag icon on the bottom of the home screen, then tap over to “recipes” at the top instead of “bundles”. That’s where you’ll see and can search the latest content. :) It does take about a week after I post something on the website for it to get uploaded to the app.
Does your app produce an automatic shopping list?
Not at this time, unfortunately. You can email yourself the ingredients for one recipe at a time, but we don’t have the ability to do multi-recipe shopping lists yet.
